Bowls, bowls, and more bowls!!
Once a lowly functional item,
the bowl has become the subject of "art"!
While there is still a demand for a nice salad bowl,
or a small "whatnot" bowl,
many folks now use bowls
as display items, filling them
with colorful fruit or other items for accent.
There is something comforting about holding in one's hand
a nicely formed bowl.
Most of the functional bowls I do are finished with a simple, renewable,
and foodsafe finish.
However, when the intended use goes beyond function,
the finish needs to be more durable and appropriate
to the use of the item as an accent piece.
